Pauley Perrette fans are excited by a new possibility opened up by Michael Weatherly.

Michael Weatherly, who co-starred with Pauley Perrette in the hit series “NCIS” spoke to People.com on September 24, 2018, and he revealed that he believed the actress will be back on TV very soon.

Perrette, 49, played Abby Sciuto on the U.S. TV series NCIS for an incredible 15 seasons and was one of the characters with the most screen time. She announced in October 2017 that she would be leaving the series, to her fans’ dismay.

Weatherly, 50, had already left “NCIS” in 2016, after playing zany character Anthony DiNozzo since 2003, and is now headlining his own series “Bull.”

I know that Pauley Perrette will be back in some capacity. I’m just saying. And I think that she’s gonna be — I think everyone misses her already, and she’ll be back and funnier than ever.”

WEATHERLY CLAIMS PERRETTE WILL “BE BACK”
Weatherly’s series is now in its 3rd season, and he is also the executive producer of a new series – “MIA” – along with another former “NCIS” colleague, Cote De Pablo.

Weatherly believes Perrette will be returning to TV soon, and he claims she will be funnier than ever. Fans believe that he was hinting at the actress’ return to “NCIS” and a reprisal as her role as goth lab technician Abby.

RUMORS ABOUT PERRETTE REFUTED
At the time she announced her exit from the show of which she had been such an integral part, Perrette refused to “go low” and explain her decision, and her silence stirred up rumors about bad blood on the show.

In the following days, Perrette posted several tweets in which she alleged she was being a victim of a “machine” that was keeping her silent. She hinted that “multiple physical assaults” were behind her exit from the hit show.

PERRETTE HINTED AT BULLYING ON THE “NCIS” SET
Perrette confided that she had been supporting programs against bullying, but that now that she had suffered the effects of the scourge in her own life, she had a better understanding of the problem. The producers of CBS show did not comment on her outburst.

CBS REPLACED PERRETTE IN “NCIS”
The new – 16th – Season of “NCIS” is to premiere on September 25, 2018, and speculation is rife since CBS announced that Pauley Perrette will be replaced by Diona Reasonover.

Reasonover will be playing Kasie Hines, the new full-time forensic scientist for NCIS. The character was initially introduced in season 15, episode 17 as a graduate assistant to David McCallum’s Ducky.

Reasonover, 26, is a young African-American actress with a strong comedic background and her role will be very different from Perrette’s Abby Sciuto.

In a related story, the first “NCIS” episode without the presence of Pauley Perrette was aired on May 15, 2018, and fans miss her character, Abby Sciuto.
